This week I have had the opportunity

to work with Erica at her fathers work. We were doing inventory of all of the fabric. It was a little daunting but we encouraged eachother and helped eachother through it. We're almost done. It's been great being able to spend the first four hours of my day with my best friend.

The other day our supervisor, Rob, showed us an area with outdated fabric. The fabric in this area would not be used again. They were donating alot of the fabric and some they were even obliged to throw away. Erica talked to him about the possibility of Stephanie coming and taking some becuase she enjoys sowing so much. Rob was completely fine with Stephanie coming by and picking out any fabric that she could use.

Erica okayed it with her dad and this morning Stephanie showed up to Summit right as Erica's and my break began. We showed her the rack of fabric and let her pick out her stuff.

At first Stephanie was hesitant. Once she found out that Ericas dad said it was ok she was up for it. She said, "I'll stop by and maybe take five rolls of fabric. That would be plenty."

About an hour later, Stephanie shows us where she put her fabric and before I know it my moms sewing room looks like this.

Erica helped me load the car and then I carried in 51 rolls of fabric into my moms sewing room. I learned a few things from this experience:

Firstly: Stephanie will agree to pretty much anything if you entice her with a little fabric

Secondly: Mom and dad shouldn't travel around the holidays.

Here is a link to Stephanie's blog. I know she's posting about this as well.

Halloween Party

I should of put these pictures up a long time ago. They are in no particular order.
Our halloween party was fun...

When people came to our party, they first needed to walk through a "spook alley" It was tarped off and really dark. There were a couple black lights in there so you could see a little bit but for the most part it was really dark.

This was the end, right outside of the front door. Erica, Miranda, and I carved pumpkins which gave a little light to people who were going through the spook alley
